Teresa Ruano Mochales

Teresa specialises in civil, criminal and contentious administrative proceedings. She has experience advising international and domestic companies in various industry sectors in their proceedings before the Spanish Courts.
Teresa works in the Litigation and Arbitration department in the Madrid office. Her work includes advising on banking and financial litigation, breach of complex contracts, compliance, as well as real estate and construction litigation. She previously worked at Simmons & Simmons, Mochales & Palacios, and PricewaterhouseCoopers (Landwell).
She is an Associate Professor at IE Law School, where she teaches Compliance and Criminal Law, both from the corporate and litigate perspective. Teresa is also a Professor on several courses to obtain the Expert Title in Corporate Integrity, Transparency and Good Governance at Transparency International Spain.
She has a PhD in corporate law from the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid, and therefore specific knowledge about insolvency proceedings, directors’ liability and financial markets.
Finally, Teresa has featured several publications in the field of research on Criminal Law, Corporate Governance, Compliance and other matters.
