Harry advises medical tech, health tech and life sciences enterprises on patent-related matters across a variety of technical fields, including AI and other computer-implemented technologies, in the UK, across Europe and internationally.
Harry has experience in a broad range of technical fields, ranging from biotechnologies to computer-implemented inventions, assisting clients in opposition and appeal proceedings at the European Patent Office and in litigation in the UK and before the Unified Patent Court. His expertise also includes patent prosecution, application drafting and strategic international portfolio management.
He has substantial experience advising on new product launches, assisting in strategically opposing competitor patents, drafting relevant and targeted patent applications, and providing freedom-to-operate advice.
Harry works with companies whose products span the areas of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, biotechnologies, computer-implemented technologies, digital health, diagnostics, mechanics, electronics, telecommunications and more, making him well-placed for assisting with technologies that bridge multiple technical fields.
Harry’s experience across computer-implemented methods and therapeutic technologies gives him a strong familiarity with excluded subject-matter provisions in the UK and Europe which is well-suited for areas such as AI in drug-discovery and diagnostic processing.
