Euan McVicar

Senior Climate Advisor

Euan is part of the Climate and Sustainability team, supporting clients to address the impact and effects of climate change and in developing and implementing their ESG strategies and addressing associated risks.

Euan was a partner in the firm’s energy practice until 2013, then left to become General Counsel and Company Secretary at the UK Green Investment Bank plc. He also subsequently took on the role of the Chair of the Investment Committee for the bank’s principal investments and sat on the board and investment committee of its regulated investment management business which managed the world’s first dedicated offshore wind fund. The Green Investment Bank was an early pioneer of green investment reporting, metrics and governance.

In 2018 Euan was appointed as General Counsel at Ofgem, the GB Gas and Electricity Regulator.

He re-joined the firm as a senior consultant and Senior Climate Adviser in 2021, a role to which he brings his experience of ESG investing, governance and acting as a general counsel in government and the private sector in sustainable investment and policy roles. As a non-executive director, Euan is interested in how Boards engage with sustainability risks and opportunities.
