Our Summer Internship is a three-week programme hosted in our Dubai office which is aimed specifically at individuals interested in a career in the Middle East.
Our placement is an exciting opportunity to find out more about life at Pinsent Masons. We design, structure and develop the placement programme to give you an experience which helps to develop your legal and commercial skills. Working alongside Trainees and qualified Solicitors on real client projects, you’ll enjoy structured work-based learning, skills training and presentations.
For many people, a placement presents the first opportunity to work in a professional organisation and environment. We make sure that first step is an easy one with a day one induction. You’ll be welcomed to the Firm and encouraged to make the most of every opportunity.

A Summer internship with Pinsent Masons Dubai offers you a programme of work-based learning and the chance to shadow our lawyers. You’ll spend time across our different practice areas to build your knowledge of the law and develop an understanding of the work that we do, whilst working with colleagues across the team to truly experience the culture that makes us who we are.
2024 Dates
Placement commences on Monday 15th July 2024 and runs until Friday 2nd August 2024. Our-in house placements are full time i.e. 40 hours per week.
You must be available for the full placement.
You will be given an allowance to cover your expenses during the placement which is 2000 dirhams per week.
The placement is best-suited to those applicants who already have close links to the Middle East region, although we do welcome applications from all candidates.
Participants must also have the right to work in the UAE.
If you don’t meet the above criteria but there are mitigating circumstances that explain why you’ve failed to meet the minimum academic requirements, there’s an opportunity for you to include this information in your application.

We’ve designed our application process to ensure you’ll know the outcome in no more than four months after the application deadline. The below shows a typical recruitment and selection process. You’ll be given full details of the process in relation to your own recruitment as appropriate.

During the placement, you will be shadowing lawyers and trainees from different practice areas. This will allow you to experience a wide variety of tasks and an understanding of the type of interesting and diverse work our different departments are involved in.
First year students can apply however as we have limited spaces for the placement, we would prioritise the strongest applications from those in the penultimate year of their law degree.
